The hotel is located right on top of a nightclub. We stayed there from friday to sunday, and slept extremely bad because of the night. The room was kind of clean, but it smelled moldy. The room was poor ventilated, and the towels couldn't dry from day to day. Stay away from this hotel!
In the suite it didn't have signal for internet service. The mos costly rate and you had to go to lobby to connect on line.
Hotel Las Palmas was comfy and so close to everything. The wifi was amazingly fast and worked perfect in our bedroom, the breakfast was tasty and plentiful. I had doubts after reading other peoples comments about this hotel but I would recommend it to anybody and will definitely stay here again in future visits. The water was hot and our room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels supplied. Brilliant value for money.
The location is great except for the nearby Discotecque (see comment below).
We left after the 1st day of a 5 day reservation due to a nearby discoteque. It was a 1/2 block away but was so loud we could not get to sleep. They played the music extremely loud until 3:00 A.M. It was a Sat. Night. The next morning the staff said it was normal for Fri. & Sat night when it gets real loud, other nights are not as bad they said.
Location, Senor Martin, breakfast
wifi not in all rooms
Clean hotel, good breakfast, two free computers for use in the breakfast room. We stayed on a Thursday and Friday nights. Thursday night was fine, noise-wise. Friday night was a nightmare.
Friday night we awoke at 1:30am to the extremely loud music from the disco next door. It was impossible to sleep from 1:30am to 5am when the disco finally closed. I live across the street from a bar so I'm used to some level of nighttime noise but this was a complete nightmare. We were in Room 202 so maybe it would have been tolerable at the other end of the hallway.
The shower was terrible... better shower experience in a camper.
I love to stay in the hotel excellent service with the friendly staff also love the breakfast variety to choose from on my next trip to Lima ill be happy to book again thank you very much.
Location was good, only a couple blocks for Kennedy Park.
I stayed at Las Palmas on the 10th of July and was disappointed in the hotel and some aspects of customer service. We booked a standard room, but found that it was very small, with no minibar. Upon going down to the front desk to upgrade, Mili was not capable of handling the issue without a protracted wait to speak to a manager on the phone. She could not figure out what to charge for the upgrade, wanting to use the rack rate and arguing with my traveling companion, even though we had booked non-rack through Booked.net. After finally moving to the suite, we found that there was a refrigerator, but it should not have been called a minibar as it was completely empty, there was not even any bottled water in the room. When I went down to get the wifi code, Mili was again derisive and lacking in good customer service skills, dismissing me with a wave of the hand and telling me that it was available everywhere in the hotel except the suites and that the only place I could use the computer was in the café (it is advertised that wifi is available in the entire hotel). As I went back upstairs the other young woman who was working reception came running to me with a LAN cable to use for internet. She was helpful and pleasant, which was nice after the previous experiences at the front desk. The hotel was not dirty, but not particularly up to date or sparkling. The shower would not work in the bathroom, but I prefer baths. The bathtub was an enormous Jacuzzi that took forever and a day to fill up just a little. I suppose some would like this tub, but for my purposes it was unnecessary. The room was a good size. One last issue was room service. We were told that it was available 24/7 but later learned that the menu is much reduced after 10:00pm when the chef leaves. If I had been told this at check-in I would have ordered before I started to settle into the room. As it was, I missed the full menu by just a few minutes and had to settle for a sandwich.
Breakfast in the morning was well done.
1) Room had an extremely musty smell 2) very in secure lock on door (no deadbolt or chain) 3) about half of the staff were congenial while two front desk girls were rude
The location is perfect. In the center of miraflores, few steps from restaurants an bars.
They didn't answer my mails until after I arrived. I had to call the, to arrange a pick up at the airport. At the desk there was no welcome when we arrived, they didn't say at what time breakfast was or stuff like that. Not so important really.
We liked the location, close to the main places and it has good atmosphere and great staff. It also has nice buffe breakfast.I Recommend on staying there.
They tried to double charge us. We booked 2 rooms: Standard Twin Room and Standard Double Room for 3 persons. The manager of Hotel Las Palmas said that we had booked 2 single rooms, so we had to pay additional money for upgrading one room. Firstly they said that we must pay 47 usd additionaly, but finaly took only 7 usd. It seemed like they squeezed money. Very bad impressions.
Thé location is excellent in Miraflores
Thé bathroom was not what I expected, the shower was awful.
Great price. The staff were friendly, helpful, professional. The hotel was clean and was of a traditional design, with lots of wood and rich colors. Nice breakfast in the am. Located in the heart of Mira Flores shopping and evening social life.
We had to use a cable in the room for internet access. Wifi was unavailable at the time we were there. No biggie- we were out of room, but if there were 2 in a room that needed internet access at the same time, it didn't look like there was any more wall connections than one.
